What to Expect From a Childcare Provider

Parents have certain expectations from their daycare provider. Some expectations may be a little higher than others, but there are ten things you should expect from a child care center.

Reports – It is not unreasonable to expect a child care center to receive a written report. Reports can be on a weekly or daily basis. Knowing how your child is adjusting to the setting is easily searchable by providing reports on behavior, eating, sleeping, and other day-to-day activities.

Incident Report – Sometimes things happen in daycare, and what happens in daycare should not stay in daycare.

Respecting Your Wishes – A childcare centers in Rockdale should partner with parents to help them properly raise their children. If you as a parent do not want your child to be fed animal products then that should be respected. If you don't want your child to have any sweets, that also needs to be respected.

Unfortunately, a lot of people have the problem that you don't feed your baby what you don't want to give them, a good daycare center will respect your wishes for your baby and won't "sneak" into things that You don't want to give it to them.

Dropping When You Want – You should be able to drop off at any time of the day when your child is in the child care center without having to call ahead of time. You should be able to pick up your baby whenever you want. It is entirely reasonable to expect that a daycare center is there to assist you with your daycare needs and you are welcome to be able to come and go as you wish.

Emergencies – You should be notified immediately if any emergency arises with your child. If they are sick, hurt (beyond a bruise or a simple bruise) and they should be allowed to decide whether you want to pick them up or not.
